Relevant Major Assignments

Over the years, on behalf of several clients, we have been privileged to carry out many assignments in various areas of our services in addition to Audit and Tax clients. Some of the assignments executed both at corporate and individual levels include the following:

• Coordinated two training programmes in collaboration with the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria (FRCN) on International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS) with the Theme: “Practical Approach to Financial Statement Preparation Through Full Accrual-Based IPSAS” in four locations and on International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) with the theme: “Practical Approach to Financial Statement Preparation & Other Compliance-Related Matters in Nigeria’s Commercial Public Sector Entities (CPSEs) through full IFRS Adoption” in two locations during 2025, with cumulative attendants of over 800 participants

• Coordinated two training programmes in collaboration with the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria (FRCN) on International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS) with the Theme “Strengthening Public Sector Financial Reporting in Nigeria Through full Accrual Bases IPSAS Adoption in four locations and on International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) with the theme: “Strengthening Financial Reporting In Nigeria’s Commercial Public Sector Entities (CPSEs) through full IFRS  Adoption” in two locations during 2024, with cumulative attendants of over  400 participants

• Coordinated a training programme in collaboration with the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria (FRCN) on International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS) with the Theme: “IPSAS Applicability and Financial Reporting of Public Sector Entities – An Ex-Post Evaluation” in four locations across Nigeria, during 2023, with cumulative attendants of over 300 participants

• Conducted training on “Strategic Planning, Budget Formulation and Performance” for selected staff of NNPC (Exploration & Production) Limited, Benin City, in 2022

• Coordinated a training programme for the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria (FRCN) in collaboration with the Office of the Auditor-General for the Federation on International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS) with the Theme: “Credible Financial Reporting in Public Sector” (The Foundation for Transparency and Accountability) - 2022

• Carried out a special audit of the partnership relationship between Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) and Truck Transit Park Limited (TTP) covering a period of 11 months (February 1st – December 31st, 2021) in line with the provisions of the executed Contract Agreement – April 2022

• Coordinated a training programme by the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria (FRCN) in collaboration with the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation and Association of Certified Chartered Accountants, Nigeria Country office on International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS) with the Theme: Timely Rendition of Financial Statements by Ministry, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) of Government in four locations across Nigeria with total of 597 participants – March/April, 2022

• Coordinated a training programme by the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria (FRCN) in collaboration with the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation with the Theme: A 2-day National Learning and Development Programme on Accounting and Financial Reporting in Public Sector Entities using Accrual Basis International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS) in three locations across Nigeria with a total of 590 participants – October/November 2021

• Tax Consultancy for Nigerian Petroleum Development Company Limited (NPDC) Benin, a subsidiary of NNPC from 2014 to date

• Led the Audit of Warri Refinery & Petrochemical Company Limited, (WRPC) Ekpan, a subsidiary of NNPC for 2019 - 2021 on behalf of one of the Joint Auditors

• Led the Forensic Audit of NNPC Petrochemicals Cooperative Society Limited, Warri

• In collaboration with the Lagos Mainland & District Society of ICAN and the Office of the Accountant – General of the Federation,  coordinated a training program on IPSAS for Public Sector Accountants in 2018, among others

• Member of the team that undertook the Feasibility Assessment of the Commercialization of National Veterinary Institute’s Vaccine production Facility including Business and Intellectual property valuation

• Forensic Audit of Amara Suites Limited (a hospitality player based in Ikoyi, Lagos, Nigeria)

• Member of a team that undertook Corporate and Strategic Plan and recapitalization which led to further acquisition of Long Term Production Equipment and Machineries, Expanded Factory and injection of ₦1.2 Billion credit facility for Wemy Industry Limited

• Tax Consultant (Tax Audit and Monitoring) to Lagos State Internal Revenue Service (LIRS) on Revenue Generation

• Part of a team that developed a five (5) year Strategic Plan for the “Turn Around” of three ailing companies in Nigeria – Two quoted on the Nigeria Stock Exchange (NSE) and one private company

• Tax Consultant (Tax Audit and Monitoring) to Delta State Internal Revenue Service (DIRS) on Revenue Generation

• Documented “As Is” financial reporting system of Chevron Nigeria that led to the client’s decision (NAPIMS) to harmonize the financial reporting of all Joint Venture Companies in Nigeria through Akintola Williams Deliotte

• Developed and conducted a two week training on “Value for Money Audit” for 120 staff of the Office of the Auditor-General for the Federation in Abuja in 2008 and 2009

• Acted as a Reporting Accountant on behalf of some companies in a bid to raise equity capital through private placement

• Undertook the vetting of various Parastatals Audited Accounts on behalf of the Office of the Auditor-General for the Federation

• Carried out Performance audit review of a Federal Government agency under the Ministry of Education at the instance of the Ministry of Education and the Development Partners -World Bank, DFID, and IDA
